Sweet Almond vs. Flowering Almond

Something new I ran across this past year was a plant called Sweet Almond (Bush).
Also known as Incense Bush, White Almond Bush, Almond Verbena.

Aloysia "Sweet Almond"
Long spires of tiny, white, sweet highly fragrant flowers cover the plant most of the year, especially during the warmer months. Hardy to mid 20's. Height of 6-8 ft, 2-4 ft in containers. Full to part sun. Keep trimmed for a fuller plant. Reblooms quickly.

Aloysia "Sweet Almond"

Personally, it's size and bloom is very similar to that of Vitex and Butterfly Bush (Buddleia), but the fragrance is VERY HIGHLY POTENT. So, If you have allergies, this plant is not for you!

Without photos, never mistaken this plant for Flowering Sweet Almond (Tree) below.

The flowering sweet almond tree has pink/rosie colored blooms.
